This backing combines the focus of a specialist investment business with the strength, governance and stability of a larger listed organisation.
From 2001 to today.
Ventura founded.
Established in 2001, Ventura began by managing investor portfolios through carefully constructed multi-manager and specialist-manager funds, giving clients access to high-quality investment expertise.
The Multi-manager Fund Era.
Throughout the late 2000s to 2010s, Ventura broadened its offer by building diversified model portfolios and multi-manager funds, working with respected specialist managers to implement our investment philosophy. During this period, Ventura acted as investment manager while partnering with external trustees and administrators, reflecting a collaborative approach to product design, risk management and investor solutions.
Into managed accounts.
As investor needs evolved, so did Ventura. We expanded into managed account portfolios under the Ventura Managed Account Portfolios (VMAPS) brand, with Ventura Investment Management Limited acting as the responsible entity and issuer. This marked an important shift towards more transparent, flexible and tax-effective portfolio solutions accessed via financial advisors.
IconiQ Investment Platform.
In 2024, we took the next step in our evolution with the launch of the IconiQ Investment Platform in partnership with FNZ. IconiQ brings together Ventura's investment experience with modern wrap and managed account technology to deliver a contemporary, adviser-led wealth management experience. On the IconiQ platform, Ventura is the operator of the Investor Directed Portfolio Service, the promoter of the Super Wrap offer, and the responsible entity for the managed accounts available on the platform — positioning Ventura at the heart of a fully integrated ecosystem that combines investment management, wrap administration and managed account governance for the benefit of advisers and their clients.
